These two horses just arrived and are available for customization or painting!

This is Pluto, a Lipizzaner. I'm not sure if this particular model is supposed to be a stallion or not, but the mold's gender is a mare.

This handsome guy is Black Beauty. As you probably noticed, he doesn't presently stand on his own, but that is easily fixed.

Update on Models Sold

Sir Barton is now sold and on his way to his new home! Clyde is sold at the moment, though I am still waiting for the payment to go through. If his status changes, I will let you now!

Model Horse Services Expanding!

I have added two services in the model horse arena:

• Repaints (you have a model and you like the pose, but you just want him/her painted a different color or pattern)
• Restorations (one of your old models is chipped --like ears--, and the paint scuffed and faded; I can do the minor repairs and repaint the model its original color).

Naturally, either one of these services will be less expensive than a total customization.

Urgent Dilemma!

Very serious problem here (okay, at least for an artist)! I have a beautiful blank 36" x 24" prestretched canvas and have absolutely no painting ideas! I want to do just the right thing.  Suggestions would be very helpful!

Clyde

Here he is! Clyde the Clydesdale stallion! This fella began as Breyer's Clyesdale Stallion (bay). Now he's trotting happily along with new ears, forelock, mane and tail. More feathering was added onto his legs also.  After some debate I settled on his brownish bay/tawny-ish color, with dapples showing off a healthy summer coat.  Because he was a true customization and required more materials, his price is set at $69.99. Like Sir Barton, if no one claims him by the end of the week he'll be going on ebay.

He's a handsome guy and it's difficult to part with him!

Sir Barton

He's finally finished!  Sir Barton, 1919 Triple Crown winner, the first of eleven to achieve this title. He started out as Breyer's Seattle Slew/Lonesome Glory mold.  He had some minor leg adjustments, a new, shorter tail (like the real horse), and his ears were reshaped and carved out (again, like the real horse). He is finished out in oils. His eyes have a coat of clear nail polish to give them moist gleam and the whole model has two coats (matte finish) to protect him against dust, etc. I have set his price at $54.99, and if no one claims him by the end of the week, he'll be going on ebay. If you've done even a little research you know this is a very competitive price for a customization.

Four Prepped Models

Here are four fully prepped models ready for paint! All except Lonesome Glory are for sale (although I'd be glad to do another one for you).  Or if you want one of these with a custome paint job, zip me a message or leave a comment or something! If I don't hear anything by Monday, January 2nd, painting begins as originally planned.

Lonesome Glory, famous steeplechaser

Officially love working with the Lonesome Glory/Seattle Slew model. It's already lean, fit and trim for doing customized jobs of sporthorses or athletic types. Originally I was just going to sand down some seams and give him a new tail (broke during one of my transits from overseas), but then figured 'what the heck' when I had the others on the "chopping block," so to speak.
